Please join ArtTable DC for an informal conversation with Alissa Maru, Director of Dupont Underground.
Alissa Maru is a seasoned event producer, creative consultant, and curator. As the Director at the Dupont Underground, she brings her knowledge of alternative art space activation and art curation under one roof. Dupont Underground is a subterranean trolley station turned arts and events space. Between 2011-2014, Maru was the Director of Operations for Art All Night DC: Nuit Blanche, a one-night art pop-up festival in Washington, D.C. For five years she served as the Special Events Manager for the National Cherry Blossom Festival and DowntownDC BID, where she provided coordinated production for the Festivals’ famed Parade and community stages. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Howard University (Washington, DC) and a Master of Arts degree in Marketing and Communications from the London Metropolitan University (London, England). She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
