Join ArtTable DC for a glorious fall afternoon at Glenstone! We will view the museum's current exhibition on the work of Roni Horn.
Exploring wide-ranging topics including nature, ecology, identity, landscape, and language, Horn’s work intermingles material and context, complicating relationships between object, subject, and viewer in the process. The exhibition will feature important examples of the artist’s sculptures, drawings, photographs, texts, and installations.
Weather-permitting, the visit to the Horn exhibition will be followed by a tour of outdoor sculptures amidst the 200 acre campus of Glenstone. Expore firsthand Glenstone's mission to "seamlessly integrate art, architecture, and landscape into a serene and contemplative environment to form a unique connection between art and visitor."
The museum docents will divide the ArtTable group into two for tours of the exhibition, which will be followed by a 90-minute outdoor sculpture tour. The outdoor tour covers approximately one mile of varied terrain. Please wear comfortable and durable footwear.
We will collect license plate information and help with carpools closer to the date. Please contact Martha Ball at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in carpooling.
Estimated tour time is 1.5 hours. Optional tour of the grounds following the Roni Horn tour.
The deadline to RSVP for this event is November 1.
